The amount of WEEE continues to grow, not only in India but worldwide. In 2021, global production will reach 52 million tonnes, according to the recently released Global E-Waste Monitor report. The hazardous substances leaching from landfill and contaminating soil and groundwater have huge impacts on the environment and human health, and the loss of valuable resources is also detrimental to the economy. Our impact is to reduce the environmental harm of e-waste and save resources and we are using end-to-end ERP to keep data secure Therefore, some components & products require final disposal at properly licensed by the Indian Government with permitted facilities.
Extended producer's responsibility (EPR) is the major aspect of the E-waste management. Among EPR programs, there is a range in the degree that manufacturers assume responsibility for end-of-life product management as compared to others in the product chain such as retailers, consumers, local governments, haulers and recyclers.CPCB extend its responsibility to ensure the appropriate recycling of all kind of EEE products after its end of life. EPR is a measuring tool implemented by CPCB to ensure the producers and generators are wisely responsible of their products introduced in the market. The EPR is a policy approach under which producers are given a significant responsibility—financial or physical—for the treatment or disposal of post-consumer products. The overall idea of EPR control by CPCB (Central Pollution Control Board) is diverting responsibility from State Pollution Control Board (SPCB), thus reducing the load of SPCBs significantly, accordingly in the amended new E-Waste Rules 2016, and 2018 the EPR Authorization has been made CPCB’s responsibility with PAN India implementation.
